Again, wow! You collected all those trophies with that rifle? Amazing achievement!! In biathlon events??!!

No wonder you like these rifles!

Its a take-down too, I assume (sudenly interested in the factory takedown feature!)

Hi Marrakai,
it's not a take down rifle and some trophies ars also won with my Hämmerli 208 pistol.Now I am old and do not want to overforce my legs and my lung. Shooting wouldn't be a problem because my eyes are still in very good condition, also for open sights for 200 meter competitiones.Some weeks ago I won a military competition with my old Steyr M95 rifle in 8x56 R ( open sight 200 meter )

Biathlon is probably one of the most demanding sports ever - imagine running your lungs out, then immediately shoot for precision with very little recuperation. You REALLY need to to be a top athlete to be able to do that, not to mention very versatile.

Nice post mate. I competed in modern pentathlon from seniors at 33 until 43 (veterans from 40) and know the pain as "funfkampf" = five new ways to pain as we called it. Can't adapt to do the ski bit in your discipline as in my latter years my knees won't obey what I need from them.
