What big game is there to hunt with a semi? What i think about semis as hunting rifles goes up twice to this.

For a big bore autoloader, the 458 Garand is more elegant looking, don't know how durable they are:

I contacted the company once, Guy seemed like a jerk, but its a neat looking rifle, because I'm in Canada I can't ship a garand down for the conversion, then get it shipped back, so I asked, if I paid in FULL, up front, if he would source me a Garand in the US, do the mods, and ship it to my FFL dealer in the USA (so he wouldn't be dealing with ANY import export, my guy would take care of that, just like if he was selling to a dealer in the states). He replied by email, the only thing in the email was a big bold "NO".

I have never had delaings with them myself. Just consider it another data point for the "Gunsmiths are an eccentric breed" arguement.
