Marvellous photos, especially the undisturbed game photos: they give a great impression of the country. Thanks for posting them. ...and Congratulations on your successful hunt!

congratulations, seems a really nice hunt.
I am stunned by the familiarity of the game, not scared by humans. I suppose that's around the camp? The place seem teeming with game?

Looks like a good trip, great photos.
What was the "feel" of the country like when you were there?

Excellent pictures, Ozhunter. Your photos of live game make it look all too easy - were they taken in a national park?

Great Pics! I was near Mana Pools in September. Did you tiger fish near Sapi? Wish I was there right now. Looks like a great safari. I have heard nothing but praise for Ian.

Manna Pools National Park is the non hunting part of the Lower Zambezi valley of Zimbabwe . This Park has Buffer zone Safari Areas adjacent to it, also run by Zim National Parks. These areas include Nyakasanga Safari Area, Sapi Safari Area, Chewore North and South Areas, Dande Safari Area, Makuti, Rifa, Charara and Doma Safari Areas. Once you leave Mana Pools Proper there is nothing too easy, and they know the boundary's. Manna Pools National park is well worth a two day visit next time you are hunting the Lower Valley.

Magnificent, you've done it now, I was only asked 2 days ago if i wanted to go with a mate to South Africa and I said I was thinking about a hunt in Europe instead. Now I'm not so sure. It looks like a grand time!
cheers

Here in the boonies with no highspeed available, had to refresh the thread 4 times and wait a half hour for the pix to load, but worth every minute!
Great hunt, Ozhunter.
Looks like a wonderful trip!

I hunted Sapi, which is really a large area. I was in a bush camp on the fringe of Sapi in the Chewore River vacinity hunting with Roger Whittall Safaris. We went to the Zambezi one day where Roger and Anne were tiger fishing with the family. While they fished we went out and found a big bull hippo on an island and got him at very close range on land, quite exciting. I cant wait to return.

Wow -
Dreamy shots of the totally unaffected game animals there.
What a beautiful place.

Ozhunter Great hunt, congrats....
Hunted with Ian earlier this year..he is a hoot...
Is the baboon along the landing strip they call the "air traffic controller" still hanging out??
Agree with your assessment, the animals are quite skiddish once you are out of the park..
Awesome hunt...thanks

I missed this post. Great photos.
Too bad we missed this time around Adam. Perhaps our schedules will coincide next time, eh?
