Many years ago I guided this hunter in a small hunting farm we had close to Bahía Blanca. He hunted an axis deer and a blackbuck. The rifle was a combination 16x7x57mmRx.22Hornet. I do not register the maker, I think it was a Merkel. Anyone know the make? If not well.....I just want to share the picture.

I can see text "BÜHAG, Suhl" in first picture under the scope so this gun isn't MERKEL.

It looks like a merkel action but to know for sure one must look at the stamps, they made a lot of guns that was dilevered to other manufactors.
But its a nice rifle so who cares, i would love to own one like that.

Im so stupid!!!!!! Thank you very much. I had the picture printed for years and never saw the name until it is in digital format. Beg your pardon for asking. I hope you at least enjoy the pictures. I will search on Internet for the maker and I will look for the stamps as the pictures were taken many years ago. Martin

Martin, I think it may have been made by Heym. In the new book, "The Drilling" by Norbert Klups, there is a chapter on guns from Suhl and a sub chapter on Heym. In it they show a couple of guns that are newer but very similar to this one with the Kersten lockup. Nice Gun!! Bob H.
