Is a 1924 Yugo intermediate Mauser the same as a VZ.24?

As good? Have the same bbl threads?

Thinking about one for a .376 Steyr chambering.

Thanks!

mike

Found some info on these actions. They are an intermediate length ... 3/16" shorter than a "normal" '98. Magazine length is 3.2".

Probably not the best fit for a barrel that once resided on a VZ.24.

I have a 1903 Turkish action, also an intermediate length. Mine apparently has the large ring reciever diameter, but uses small diameter threads, so the barrel is something of an oddball. It would be interesting to check your thread diameter versus ring diameter as well before you invested in a barrel.

I'm going to have mine rebarrelled, and will send the action to the barrel maker for fitting.
