German Luger

A luger is up for sale reprtedly in good condition.Since i have no knowledge of this weapon i was wondering if you all could inform me of its characteristics and whether its worth buying and for how much.I want to be well armed with knowledge about this weapon before i inspect it and strike a deal.Thanks.

Not real up on Lugers, but i believe the Oberndorf models are desireable. Also I have heard any artillary or naval models are as well.

Just inspected the weapon,its in very good condition.The grips checkering is a bit faded.Fired a dozen rounds and was extremely impressed with its accuracy.Asking price is USD600,have offered USD450.Will know by tomorrow if deal is on.

I had one, liked it as a collectors item. Preferred the Browning P35 for using.

If you bought it for that you did very well,even mismatched shooters with import stamps go $6-700.here is a link to a group that will tell you about it if you can put up some pictures and give info on the markeings.

Very good. You did very well. I paid $525 for my Webley Mk VI and that was a good deal. In the past few years I have seen Webleys going for over $600. For you to have paid only $500 for a Luger is outstanding.

Igbal,

I imagine as time passes you'll realize what a great deal you got. It's a classic and "some people" :^) are crazy about them. All are extremely well made but they don't all shoot great so if it's accurate you made out like a bandit.
