I am surprised no bids ?

Have you actually seen them with the Remington on them
or just what you have heard ?

A bit sceptical considering all the BS.

I notice the guy selling them on line didn't put a photo
up of it otherwise I think it would have been bid on by now.

Considering it's online as of yesterday, at a buy it now of $1,095.00 I would have thought it would go fast also. A little skeptical with no pictures. But he wouldn't be advertising it if he didn't have it now would he?

No, but here its the original and much better baikal thats offered.

The shop that put them on their site is the swedish importer of baikal and they are well nown to be honest.
If i get the time i check if its true.

I couldnt get the link to the guns to work (something to do with java?) but in the middle theres a link under "senaste inkomna vapen" that writes "dubbelstudsare 2" klick there and you will find them.

Unless Remington is willing to guarantee some standard of acceptable regulation, I wouldn't want to plunk down a thousand bucks on one of these things. I avoid the Indian Casino, Russian Roulette and State Lotteries also.

Now the 45-70 cat's out of the bag.
I bet there's a few 45-90, 45-110, 450no2NE, etc reamers standing at the ready, cutting oil dripping from their flutes in anticipation of their first dip into the Baikal/Remington cut.

It will be interesting to see if these rifles will even hold up to the Frankensteining of the 45-70 cartridge that's made it to boxed 'factory' ammunition.

Look at the muzzles - that have an extra piece of metal
around them - then look at the chambers.

Is there really going to be enough metal to handle
a reamer of one of the other cartridges and do it
safely ?

Well they are writing that the max pressure is 28000psi, but i sure would someone else than me to first try to exceed it.

Even if its only 900 euro for it i sure rather put them on something else.

No the low power is about 20000psi i think, so this would put it in the middle as a lever action load i think. That would make it suitible for a 450 NE2 wouldnt it?

I agree with tarawa - but for the trigger - i like mine more and more. I tried to have the trigger done but the smith couldn't get to them as the main action screw is either really tight or a reverse thread. we stopped trying for now. I load 52.5 gr Win 760 with mag primer and 180 gr round nose Hornady to get close to 2600 ft/s and about 3/4 inch groups from a rest at 50 yds. it is light and fun to shoot. I tried it with a Dr. Optic speed dot and it was good for snap shots but I think i prefer a low power scope until i get used to it. I may just have to find a 45-70 up here - if they do come here.
