Lee Speed rifle project

Hello, I am building a custom Lee Speed style sporting rifle and I am looking for a barrel maker that makes a barrel with a full matted rib octagon to round similar to the high grade Lee Speeds.Also an original or copy cape style sight.Thanks!

All of the Lee Speeds I have seen have had round barrels. The highest grade #1's have round barrels with a soldered on rib. Lothar Walther have barrels that you might like.

buckbrush thank you for the information. I totally agree about the Lothar Walther barrels as they are magnificently accurate. Now if I can only find a cape sight......

Deutsche Vortrekker,

A South African company called Primasel made some of these some years ago but their website is down now and I have no idea what they are doing. They also made new Plezier style Mauser rifles on 1893 actions in a limited series some years ago - I probably have some pictures lying around somewhere. Since you're in the region, maybe you could ask about them?

Badger barrels can supply either a full octogon or round to octogon.give them a call
