Thanks for a bit of history. That was in the day when 7X & 8X bulls were actually there to find. Nowadays with the hunting pressure, if you can find one, it'll probably be on a big private ranch where the hunt alone would cost 20K. The rest of us would probably have to be satisfied with a 5X or a 6X bull and be happy with it.

wow.... those are some BIG elk... I suspect that in some of the more remote parts of canada you could shoot a 7x7 or the rare 8x8.... but again, you're talking about a $12,000+ hunt...

thats a LOT of african trophies!!!

Great post...................great to dream about. Hope your off-season has gone by quickly. I've been stuck on the East coast for a while and only recently have had the opportunity to get online(still stuck on the EC). Enjoyed the post.
