New Type S Mauser in Don S's safe

My thanks are due to Cpt Curl for his help in converting the pictures of this rifle into a format that could be posted here.

Don would post more details of this beauty in his gunsafe. I feel tempted to call them beauties in his harem because I always end up comparing beautiful guns to beautiful women.

My observation is that guns are easier to handle than women.Guns never smell you when you come home to see if you have the smell of gunpowder on you. Guns never complain if you don't take them out often enough. Guns never complain when you bring another one home and guns never say..." Does this recoil pad make my butt look fat??"

This Type S was amoung the last group of Oberndorf sporters produced in the Mauser factory in 1944, just prior to the war's end and the French occupation. It's in 7x57 with a Hensoldt 4X scope and Greener safety. Condition is outstanding. Thank you Mehul & Curl.
