Second Edition of Building Double Rifles on Shotgun Actions
      #103515 - 25/04/08 09:47 PM

Just received this email from Bunduki Publishing

Dear Customers,
We have just received a shipment of the Second Edition of Building Double Rifles on Shotgun Actions by W. Ellis Brown. These books need to set up in our inventory, signed, and the web site updated. This should be completed in the next week or two (by May 9th). Please visit our web site (www.bundukipublishing.com) to stay up latest news on availability.

The first 200 books ordered directly though Bunduki Publishing (either by mail or the web site) will signed and numbered at NO EXTRA CHARGE!

The Second Edition has 30 more pages, more information on regulating, including a chart for determining the amount spacing required to get the barrels to shoot to same point of impact - this chart saves considerable time and guess work involved in the regulation process. It also has a new chapter that discusses a method of bringing barrels "back on face". There are more pictures thoughout the book book and more line drawings to help clarify and explain new information. Overall, this is a significantly better edition than the first. The cost of the Second Edition is $54.96 plus shipping.

For those of you on a tight budget, we have a limited number of books from the first printing of the Second Edition that going to be sold as "seconds". These copies have approximately 25 percent of the pictures that are distorted in some manner (examples will be posted on the web site). The books are useable, but the we could not in clear conscience sell them at the "First Quality" price. None of the text or other information is affected and the pictures are still useable, they just look a little "odd". For those willing to overlook the picture issue, this a great way to get this excellent book at a reduced price. These will only be sold through the our web site or by direct mail to Bunduki Publishing. They will marked as: "Second Quality, Sold "as is", No refund", will NOT have a dust jacket and will NOT be signed. The cost of this "second quality" printing of the Second Edition will be $34.95 plus shipping.

We look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.

Best Regards,
Bunduki Publishing

Martin

Some more info:

"Hello everyone!
Since sending out our note a couple of days ago, we have been swamped! Thank you some much for your interest!

Normally we love hearing from you, but the response has been overwhelming and it is slowing down the process for everyone - sorry. Please refrain from emailing us for book information for the time being.

If you want to order a book imediately, you will need to send a personal check, cashiers check, or money order in U.S. funds to us through the mail. The web site is NOT functional yet, but will be by the May 9th date (hopefully sooner!!). We will send out notice once it has been updated.

All books are signed and numbered. The price is $54.95 plus S&H ($5.00 within the U.S.A. & Canada; $11.00 everywhere else).

Hi:
I just forwarded payment to the web sight ....
http://www.bundukipublishing.com
via Pay Pay a few minutes ago.

I understand from speaking to ''Tarawa '' that
the first edition was awesome even without
the extra 30 pages of updates !

Can't Wait !

Mike

Has anyone reviewed the new material yet? Is it worth the price if you have the first ed.?

#33 hit my home in North Central Indiana yesterday.
The first three chapters are full of highly relevant material.

No. 58 now resides in my home, just have to dig through the boxes of books to put the first edition along side it for comparison purposes.

It's been donkeys years since I picked up the first ediion, and about the same since I first read it. The only note I can add is that everything in this volume appears to be fairly straight up and very do able to anyone with a modicum of intuition.

Without having the immediate resources at hand, I'm just about ready to break into machine shop and pilfer time on their mills and lathes. LOL!

I'm thinking of buildng a .45 colt on a small Stoeger action just to whet my teeth. Seems to be an offshoot of busting caps in a miniature Sharps of the same caliber some years ago.

Damn African lore books and an impressionable childhood!!!!!!
