Does anyone know what a decent Pre-War SSB 416 by Rigby sells for these days?

They are pretty high now. Condition dependant, between $10-$20K I've seen a couple in the last year above $20K, but they were high condition and totally original.
Lets see what the other guys say - I hate estimating pricing, I may be way off...

A nice one will set you back $25,000.00 - $30,000.00

Rare indeed. I can't remember exactly but I recall reading somewhere that Rigby only made 12 or so .416s pre-WW1.

Very rare and very historic indeed. At the rate the DGR market is going up, today's 'through the roof' prices may seen modest in another year or so.

Another area rapidly appreciating is the pre-WW1 take down rifles, initially built by various British makers on 1900 and 1903 MS rotary magazine actions and then with the Mauser 98 actions. The 1903 MS action H&H in 400/375 Belted I picked up a couple years ago has now gone up dramatically as I just turned down a 100% profit for it. The handful of other pre-WW1 takedowns that are on the market now from time to time seem to have doubled in value in about a year. Dave

J,

I am not certain of the exact number, though I know it wasn't many, I imagine it was less than 25 total.

here in Europe you will get one of the old original-magnum-mausers for about the same money (or a tad less money) as you will have to pay for a newly-manufactured-magnum-mauser made by the actual mauser-company (mauser seems to be a part of the RUAG-Company now)...

Can't really compare that to an original pre war 416 Rigby my friend. Plus I believe the price for a new mag mauser is around $10,000.00 USD the 416's mauser made were a limited run of 100 guns.
