Question: Browning FN Hi-Power .30-06 manufactured in 1965

Hi Everyone

I saw a very nice Browning FN Hi-Power Safari grade rifle in .30-06 at a gunshop and wanted to know what price range should this kind of rifle be selling for? Also the rifle was manufactured in 1965 and I wanted to know weather the rifles manufactured during 1965 specifically or lets say from 1960-1974 had Salt wood stocks or were they good quality guns without the use of salt to cure the wood in stocks. Repeat: I thought salt wood was restricted to use on Browning Superposed shotguns?

Yea I guess thats the best, I will call browning and ask them. But while reading through online blogs I found this excerpt but I am not sure about its accuracy I will just post it here for reference purposes:

"Yes, Jorge, my 1967 Browning catalog shows Mausers for all grades of the Safari through the Olympian, but I have a 1967 with a Sako action, too. Browning also used salt cured wood from 1966 through 1972, but a lot of the rifles don't have that, either."
