Book was better, as is the series about Bob Lee Swagger, except the last one. The 'prequel' about his father is pretty decent too, not as 'gun' focused however. Dave

I have to agree with Dnovo. The novel was better. By itself the movie isn't that bad and I know a few guys who think it's terrific. But they haven't read the novel.Give it a try.
