Since we have been chewing over Barnett's inventory of doubles, here is a real odd one. Anyone care to offer an opinion on what -- if anything -- this 'FrankenGun' is worth or if it is worth having? Dave

Also consider the groove diameter will be large for .30-30. If I recall correctly the .310 Cadet is about .320" in the grooves. Many of the original Martinis were rechambered to .32-40.

Wonder why this one landed as a .30-30?

And while we are looking at this, what is that on the top of what should be the center rib? Looks like some form of scope base????? Odd, odd, odd. Nice engraving and wood, however. Dave

Poor pictures for a $15,000 price.

I don't see it. I think it is a nice looking rifle that has been customized by a number of gunsmiths to become something else.

Unless you want a 30-30 DR (and I do) that probably won't shoot well and looks like a Chevrofordmobileiac I would probably offer around $6,000.

Those are Westley scope mounts, proper for that vintage of gun.
