CROC AEROBATICS!!!

Can't say I am too fond of crocs, but I always thought that they were restricted pretty much to the head above water in deep water that everyone sees in video clips.

I thought if you are in a small boat, no problem---
Watch this video and see if you feel you are safe in your boat if the flattie wants to join you for a meal-YOU.

Although I am bever comfortable around reptiles,snakes,lizards,crocs.etc.yet hunting a croc is really exciting and puts your markmanship to test.Right in the middle of the Thar Desert in Rajistan amid tall sand dunes there are five lakes in Sanghar district which are home to a no. of crocs.I have hunted here a few times and shot quite a few crocs. the largest being a 13 footer.The hunt takes place in winter,the colder the better when the crocs. come out of the lake to bask in the sun.The timing and location is noted by the locals and we are informed to reach there accordingly.A slow crawl to the place,sighting of the beast and a shot to the brain is then required.The bullet has to be placed at the spot where the neck joins the head and it is advisable to have a back up gun as the croc. will immediately try to reach the water.It really is an exciting shoot.

I would want my next african hunt to be for hippo, croc, and Buff.

Watching the crocs do all that lunging out of the water gives a new perspective to danger when they swim up close to your boat!! Also could be alot of fun when the dominant hippo gets pissed when your dugout is in his pond too--

If any of you ever get to Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, the Jumping crocodile cruises are only an
hour or 2 out of town down the highway.

Best place to get up close and personal with a
big crocodile !!!

I took many dozens of photos of jumping saltwater crocodiles on one of the Adelaide River Jumping Crocodile cruises. Unfortunately I lost all the photos from that trip on an external backup drive when transferring them to another PC (the drive gave up). Salties can jump virtually their whole body length out of deep water vertically.
