Does anyone out there have any parts for DSTs, I especially need the rear triggers. It seems that a lot of them get removed for whatever reason. I'm trying to return some of my 98s back to original. Any info. and or any parts (available to be purchased) to refit these triggers would be appreciated. Thank you. --- John 303.

I have the same issue on one of my rifles. The set up is more like a muzzle loader set trigger on a long base base that the trigger guard scews into. The rear trigger is removed and only the front is there to trip the sear. I have been tryiing to put this one back together for a few years, but can't find the parts.

88; Have you looked at what is available at Trackofthewolf, they have DSTs and triggers for some older rifles etc. under parts. --- John 303.

John303, the above site has muzzle loader triggers. Did you get any for a Mauser 98? I am looking for set triggers for my Mannlicher Schoenauers. I would appreciate any help.

NH: I haven't got anything for my 98s yet, but hve ordered a catalogue from Recknagel. You would think that all those missing rear triggers would be out there some where. As far as a DST unit, they are available from RN, perhaps they are sort of generic an can be installed on a Mannlicher, just a thought. --- John 303.

Just an up-date, I have approached ToftheW with my dilemma, they have been helpful. I just received full scale pictures of their DSTs for older firearms and I believe they have something that will work ( with modification ???). The good thing is one can buy just the trigger from their parts dept, I am going to place an order shortly. Also got a catalogue from Recknagel, they certainly have some interesting items but I could not find a parts list for their DSTs. If you should contact ToftheW ask for page 359 (Hawken Triggers) out of their Catalogue. --- John303.

Thanks, John303. I was jsut examining a rifle I have in the same condition. I was looking at TofW and at Dixie for parts. I will ask them I would truely like to make the set tigger functional again. It has part of the springs still there, but the front trigger is what trips the sear. My trigger is much like a "hawkin" or muzzle loader DST set up.
