How about the gist of it for us backwoodsers on slow dialup.

I met Art Alphin in 1990 at the SHOT Show. Spent part of an afternoon with him at his booth. I know he seems to be a controversial fellow and he is surely quite a character but I liked him. I have not however followed his trail for years.

What's goin' on?

He's had some awfully good ideas on guns and ammo but lacked in the delivery department. He'd been relying on Bertram's(maybe) for the brass and they sucked as to quality and to his loaded rounds. Even though his ideas on guns were OK, the rifles seemed to feel like a big 3X6 as to handiness. He's been outta action for a while now and seems to be restarting his business again. We'll see.

That is pretty much what I have heard as well--in visiting with him and reading those who have visited with him--he seems to me to be a straight forward kind of fellow...he doesn't seem to pussy foot around --which I don't consider to be a character flaw..
