Fortune Lists the 10 best Shotgun Makers
      #95321 - 28/01/08 10:40 AM

While Forbes magazine always lists fine shotgun makers and wingshooting locations, it was very interesting to see Fortune, a magazine owned by the viciously anti gun CNN bunch, list the ten best shotgun makers in the world.

While the list they have cobbled together is disputable, I do think that it is a good thing that they have listed it. Have the morons finally understood that their anti-gun BS does not make sense and that they need to reach out to shooters who do form a significant number of successful businesspeople? I still don't subscribe to the rag or to any Time-Warner-AOL products because of their anti gun policies, but this is very interesting to watch.

What do other members here think about this?

Good hunting, everyone!

Well, nice list but where is

Holland and Holland Royal Sidelock Ejector
Browning A5
Boss SxS Sidelock Shotgun

Probably a few others - Famars, Abiatico and S ?

Also, what Criteria did they use to determine the top 10 ?

No Dickson round action either... one of the most desirable boxlocks IMO

Interesting to watch, as you say. Maybe if it is followed up by the top 10 wingshooting destinations, it would signal a change in philosophy, but lets not hold our breath!

Jabali

Yep, that's a good one (Dickson R/A).

Not sure it's the best but definately is the best
Trigger Plate Action.

I am surprised they missed out Holland & Holland and Piotti.

And why the Beretta SO4 in particular? I thought the SO10 was the latest flagship

Looks like this sheds some light on that question:

Let them drown in their own BS. The shear weight of their crap will eventually take them down. And these are supposed to be the "unbiased" news people? I think it's time some of us started speaking up against these merchants of mis-information. News Speak, it all about the story, no substance and very little truth. Wow! I feel a whole lot better!
