I totally agree that this is a nice rifle, but very over priced! Though the Britt rifles, that are worth owning are getting scarce, and it is normal for the price point to go up, this is far above the value of this rifle, IMO. If I were going to spend $50K for a double rifle, I'd far rather buy three Heyms, and 500NE, a 450/400 3", and a 375 Flanged, and have a set of matching rifles, that will do far more than the one 470NE in question here will, and cost less, for all three!

I actually know where I can get a 3 barrel set of Heyms for about 25k and change and personally I don't think the ele, buff or hippo will mind a bit ..

I just have a hard time dealing with the appearance of the Heym.

what governs the stock market...greed and emotion, same going on here. A feeding frenzy.
Six years ago you could buy multiple working Jeffrey 450/400 doubles from Bob at Westley Richards or Cape Outfitters for $6,000. Three years ago they were $12,000 and now the prices today are mid $20's, though some ask 40's
The ballsiest flip I've seen lately is the H&H 500/465 that was bought on Gunbroker, or another site for 40,000 and now re-priced at 69,500.

Agree with the above--they are banking on "greed" or the feeding frenzy mentality..hopefully most will be smart enough to realize what is going on and let the "greedy boys" sit with their overpriced guns and give them something to think about while WE can make money elsewhere..on something that makes far more sense..
