I wonder how difficult it could be to make a 10 gauge DR on that shotgunaction??. Anyone here knows the Zabala actions?

Just wondering...nothing serious....yet!

Same action as mine Jens, no problem.

chrome-moly reciever and barrels!, it will be much stronger than most double rifles.

The above is all correct I'm sure, but the 10-bore Zabala is narrower across the breech-face than a 12-bore Greener Empire. The Zabala's weight comes from a steel rod inserted in the buttstock, not from a heavily-built action.

Modern steel alloys are definitely stronger of course, but design counts for a lot too.

I would think the spanish AYA's might be a good basis for a 10 bore conversion to rifle - maybe not.
; The one I had was massive across the breech with very tight double bites. Seems to me it also had a third bite - if memory serves.

I remember looking at an AYA 10 guage, it had a Greener crossbolt.
