I looked at them several years ago--they had a set in the Scheels store in Great Falls, MT--they were very typical Winchester model 70's for that time period--workmanship seemed somewhat better than the standards models..---kind of kick myself now after looking at the price they are asking now...although I believe the price Cabela's is asking is on the high side--personally, if you are interested, I would make them an offer--less than the asking--they are always willing to deal..

No not a companion, but potentially a replacement if my CZ 550 American Safari Magnum in 375 H&H doesn't come back from it's first trip back to the custom shop correctly. The Model 70 seems awful light for a .470 Capstick however. It's awful pretty though ...
