I have a couple of good outfits in northwestern Namibia who offer great plains game. One has a tented camp option and both have nice traditional lodges. You can add coastal fishing and Etosha as well. One offers leopard on chance for trophy fee. Both have very nice gamsbok, kudu, red hartebeest, springbok, zebra and nice piggies here and there.
Anyway, with it being the Holiday Season (no matter your preferences), it is a good time to think about the hunts you want to do in 2008!

Ripp,
I have always thought that west Africa would be the place to go for roan. They have them in large numbers there and the hunting must be pretty good. So if it were me and I could afford roan, that is where I would go. The hunting season there is now through March.

i saw a lot of roans in zambia in the tondwa crater this year, hunting with john duploy, but they are expensive. To add them to a zim hunt would require a 18 day hunt in zambia.

Ripp,
Your Zim outfit can't get you a roan?

look for Burkina Faso. Roan is aplenty and good. For the fee of one in Zim or Zambia, You can have a full safari in Burkina Faso namoungou safaris
