....and to think guys'll stand in line to buy a plastic stocked wonder-mag that'll sit in the corner anyway, when they could be fondling this little gem in the winter months. Hell, I'd just like to clean it!

Fred: That is one fine Mauser with a rare barrel. A joy to see. What year was it built?

That is a damn fine rifle. Looks to be in great condition also. I'd love to try all those leaves at their specified ranges, just for fun!

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the kind words. The gun was made in late 1927 or early 1928.It is in good condition no rust pits or damage of any kind but was definetly hunted with and carried alot.I might just have some more to show soon too.

Fred

May have been ordered as The "special african" model with standard stock, Does the number in the stock match the other part numbers.????
This Niarobi retailer sold a lot of Original Mausers to the African market. Nice item

The 27.75" barrel was an option on the type A as per speeds book.I'm not sure if you could get an african model with the type A stock.I will check the stock #'s when cleaning next time.

Thanks

Fred
