hunting/skinning knife

Here is a new hunting/skinning knife
made out of Aeb-L hardened to 58-60HRC
total length 201mm with a blade length of 98mm
3.2mm thick and 42mm wide.
scales are made out of polymer clay with 2 brass mosaic pinns.
photo taken before polish.

what do you think?

i like the blade shape, im just to old fasioned to like the scales. allthough they might look fun with a damascus blade.

They are a bit special...
this knife will probably end upp beeing my own hunting knife..

Very nice. Do you make knives commercially? Website? Love the blade shape especially, but handle probably less my cup of tea. looks like quality work though...

iīve been making and selling knives for a couple of years now,
unfortunatly i havenīt got a website yet.. (working on it)
the handle on this one was an experiment....
i show most of my stuff on www.britishblades.com same nick name as here..

Indeed.

I make knives myself, and though I and others find mine excellent, practical designs, they are utilitarian. I and others use mine hard in the field and on the farm and some are in military service {several in service in Iraq and elsewhere} and up at the mine {reclamation work}. Butchering, trail clearing, trapping, hunting, etc. I do my own grinding, heat treating, cutlering and scabbard making.

All that to say this; since I make them I know something of the the various skills involved, and I do not have the same skills RSF has. His exhibit very excellent workmanship with a high degree of attention to detail and an artistic expression and execution that are beyond my talents. RSF: Bravo! VERY nice stuff!

I might add that I am not a paid sponsor or RSF's knives, either!
