Blaser falling block?
      #87792 - 26/10/07 02:22 AM

I'm sure that I read an article a long time ago that referred to a falling block action made by Blaser. Has anyone ever seen one?

Are they still being made? Do you have a photo that you could post?

Try http://www.blaser.de/1982.260.0.html?&L=1. It is the Blaser BL 820. The text says it all.

Honestly, I don't care for Blaser's. Some friends have had them and they are poorly made imo.

I wish somebody would make the Fraser sidelever single shot again. I talked with Dickson McNaughton and they said there just to costly to build. Go figure.

http://www.domscustomrifles.com/story3.html(not sure if you can get one there, I believe there is someone on accurate reloading still making them) or convert a RugerNo1 to sidelever.

I haven't seen a Blaser in the flesh. How do they compare to a Hartmann and Weiss or a Hagn? I have handled both of those and would love a Hagn one day...

They don't compare imo.

Hartmann only builds a best effort gun and they are superb.

The Hagn action is one of the best single shot actions ever to be produced, very simple and very strong.

they are somewhere between a ruger no. 1 and the Hartmann and Weiss or a Hagn. in my opinion they are nice but not as nice as the high end stuff. the triggers are as all other blaser guns, exellent
