Spoke Champlin Firearms here last night...still hadn`t got around to ship the gun..but this week though, it should be shippped. They have had the money and importpapers since mid aug...
Here is a review, in case anyone(even myself) should had forgot how it looked.....hahaha

jens i cant wait to see that rifle in real life, and maybe try the gentle push of a 10 gauge dbl rifle. i hope it arrives at your doorstep soon.

I was at Champlins a few weeks back and handled this rifle. You will like it!!A big 10!

Called Champlin Firearms here two weeks ago and they said "next week"..
Called again here today, and since the quailhunting was just started, so "next week"..maybe...

I wonderer when I can allow to get a little mad..??(hahahaaha)

They have had "everything"(money/papers) in over 90 days now. Is that normal by american standards??

Its probably because they need to get export licenses etc... Must be frustrating to you, I can see! Hope you get your new toy by Christmas.

It is an antique by US law, they are trying to pull something in my opinion. 90 days!

They should get the gun to me via Lufthansa next week at the lastest....according to the lastest e-mail.

No I dident bid. And as it happens it went for more than my self imposed limit in the end anyway.

All of the prices seemed a little too high on that day. Did you see what that smoothbore .505 Gibbs made in the end? Good luck to whoever brought it.

LuftHansa called me here yesterday! The 10bore will arrive here sunday at the airport, for me to pickup aswell

A good friend has got me some BlueDot powder+ i have been casting some cannonballs(bullets). The gun should come with a few pieces of brass. I have nitrocards+ feltwads.....However I will try out blackpowder too, to get some recoil...hahaha. In an artical from GunDigest 1996 they shoot a new 10 bore made at John Rigby & Co, London. 60 grain BlueDot and a 875grain bullet will do 1500Ft/Sec, ending all buffalo chargingsystems. Recoil is on par with .416Rigby or less.
In the artical they use 2 7/8 brass, mine use 3.25".
