A friend asked me for help with his new 3-9x Burris Fullfield II scope. A collimator showed 20 clicks of slack before movement of the crosshairs in any direction. The retailer agreed to refund his money.

Tatume,
So ?
What is the point of the post ?
1 Faulty Scope out of Hundreds of Thousands, if not Millions sold by Burris doesn't warrant a condeming post ?
However, if you said that you had heard heaps of them were being reported, then you may have something.

This was a simple report of fact. I did not express any opinions, condeming or otherwise.

Most scopes, given the pounding they're subject to, hold up rather well, regardless of brand. That being said, in 27 years of hunting, I've had 3 scopes fail on me, a Burris, an older model Weaver, and a Bushnell.
