Joe,

Since my biggest rifle is an 8mm, I guess I won;t have to worry about recoil at all. I just thought, though, that if I e-mailed this company with some suggestions on what they could use their gel for, they might offer it as a recoil pad over here.

I'll do that now and let's hope for the best.

I was in Neal Johnson's gun shop before he moved to Colorado, when a salesman walked in with a claw hammer in his hand. He put his left hand on the counter, laid a sheet of rubber on it, and whacked it with that hammer a terrible blow. He left the rubber in place and held the hammer out to us as an invitation. The material now sells under the name of Sorbothane.

This is not Sorbothane. Yes, there are several new materials. I had a friend contact Geltec and they are coming out with a few applications of their new gels.

Let's see if they bring out a recoil pad as well.
