Mr. Sour Grapes...

All kidding aside, Tom, I have had nothing but the very best experience with Ruger and never had one returned, when selling guns for a living. This was a while back, however, and things do change...witness the Winchester Safari Classics.

I am hardpressed to find any fault with my RSM, except for the terrible trigger that came in it.

Remember that the Rugers don't cost antwhere close to what the Dakotas and Heyms cost. They are a bargain.IMHO

l2s,

...actually, sour grapes makes for great vinegar!...

...imho, ruger's products are the best out there for hard-working, reliable, well-engineered field firearms insofar as production rifles are concerned, and are, again imho, head and shoulders above your typical remchester...

...that said, i have had quite some trouble with the fit and finish of my ruger products which has, unfortunately, detracted from the overall purchase experience...

...as a former gun dealer, would you happen to know how to remove bluing salts from the barrel banded front sight and sling?...i have tried shooters' choice, kroil and wd-40 to no avail...

Tom,

As a former dealer I do in fact know of a sure fire, can't fail way...sell the piece of shit to someone else! That always removes it.

Vinegar...isn't that what NitroX bottles as Shiraz?
