In 375 H&H.

The website has also been redone with some lovely additional rifle and shotgun pictures.

Interesting Mehul!

I bet they are somewhere north of the average guy's budget.

It's just amazing how double rifles are coming back strong now, isn't it?

Thanks for bringing this to the forum's attention.

Cpt Curl,

I consider myself an average guy and the budget is certainly way north of mine.

Yes, I agree with you on the old designs coming back. They were just too good to be ignored for long, I guess. My hat's off to Graham Greener, David Dryhurst and Richard Tandy for bringing back some designs that had not been made for sixty years or more like the Facile Princeps, the Unique ejector guns and the proprietary Greener sidelock design which removes less wood from the stock than all other current designs.

Fortunately, there are wealthy collectors who have been commissioning these guns from Greener. Now when is the next Mega Million drawing? I have to run and buy a ticket or two.

My pleasure to post this here. Nowhere else would this have been as appreciated and welcome.

Good hunting!

mehulkamdar

Do you think the Facile Princeps action is
one of the better ones to use ?

Or should they have just done with the
normal Greener Boxlock ? (can't remember the name).

500 Nitro,

The Facile Princeps has been described as weight for weight the strongest break open double rifle action. Some time ago, I had posted a detailed e-mail from Graham Greener describing the action as well as of the lawsuit that Westley Richards filed against the Greener company alleging a violation of their Anson and Deeley patent which they lost not only in the courts but also on appeal to the House of Lords. I believe the subject is discussed in detail in Mr Greener's new book, "The Greener Story."

For some reason I cannot get the Search function to find that particular e-mail here but I hope somoene would help in this regard.

IMHO especially because I cannot afford to buy a new Greener double rifle, I think they are doing the right thing by building their proprietary actions, actions that were unique to the Greener company and which made the company it's reputation. It takes courage for a small operation to do something unique and I think Greener need to be commended for their efforts and for not following convention and doing what other companies are already doing. This of course being a subjective opinion and one belonging to a fan of the company based on the guns I have seen and shot in India.

Good hunting!
