Nosing around interested in different countries for an African hunt collecting an Ele Cow and Buff--
I know some counties cannot export the small ivory from the cow.
I have read that it is easier to find a big cow Ele than a tuskless( reported in some locations at less than 3% of the herd)-- Can a hunt be done Cow/tuskless either/or?? Would a tuskless bull be a shooter??
Any suggestions??

I loved my time in Zim this summer with Charlton McCallum Safaris...lots of elephant and buff and sable and leopard in Makuti. I had a great hunt for tuskless and saw a lot of ele. Cow permits with ivory are not the normal way of doing things. Most of the tusk permits are going to go towards bulls of course. There are a few PAC hunts that take cows with ivory but most of those are not exportable...Namibia being an exception to that. Tuskless bulls in my limited experience are less common than cows. In any event, the quota is for tuskless cows in most places.
