My Polish Wz.29 Sporter
      #82787 - 21/07/07 06:35 PM

Just thought i'd like to put some pictures of my sporterized mauser. It was commissioned as an 18th birthday present for me. If i got it right, click on the thumbs to make them bigger.

Its on a Polish Radom Action which came from a Wz.29 rifle. The action had all the work done for a sporter, so there was no going back with it. It has a Lothar-Walther barrell and remains chambered in 8x57JS.

It has a Nikon 3-9x40 on it with quick detachable rings so that i can make use of the open sights. I like it a lot.

Hey Gonshootin

Love ya gun, did George do the woodwork cause it looks awesome. Are you feeding it reloads or putting commercial ammo in it? What sort of accuracy have you been able to extract.

By the way I will be at Silverdale range tomorrow sunday 22.7 shooting from 10-1pm. Drop in if your keen to put your gun through its paces over 100 and 200m. Will be shooting a 6.5 x 55 swedish mauser with blonde wood on it as well as a marlin 3030 so I shouldn't be to hard to find. Steve

I havn't put it on a bench yet, ive only put two rounds to check pressure. So far i got two loads and everything seems perfectly fine.

Cheers
Chris

Good hunting!
