Merci beaucoup Erik!

You've brought back many memories of good battues in France. Next time we'd love to do the same and visit JB.

Great pictures!

Erik,,,, C'est Magnifique!

what a great report and fabulous photos! you are lucky to have been able to see the monuments of Verdun.... it is my wish to one day see that part of the world and visit those hallowed sights where so many young people payed the ultimate sacrifice for us that came after them.

well done on the hunt.... I see and read that you are still using your custom shooting sticks lol... when will you be ridding yourself of them?

Erik,

That looked like a bunch of fun. I really liked the photos of the cathedral. They're amazing to this new worlder.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the little report. In my opinion, it's well worth seeing the sights (historical or otherwise) when on a hunting trip.

As for the crutches, it looks like I'll be using them for at least a couple of more months. It's hard to say when I'll be rid of them.

Erik

Hi Erik

Please forgive me, I haven’t seen your report, jus discovered it now.
I want to say that Erik is really an easygoing and extremely kind and helping guy. He has been making an impressively good impression on everybody, especially on my harem (wife, daughter and mum in law), he has a way with the gals.

All my fellow hunters and even the beaters were very happy (and proud) to hunt with him and to talk about hunting (the ones speaking English) and feel happy to share his ample knowledges.

Unfortunately there was no opportunity to shoot a wild boar, no luck indeed. As we say in French “c’est la chasse”= it’s hunting= hunting is changeable.

Everybody keep asking me news from Erik and his possible recovery.
This year we wish he can come along in the Alps to hunt chamois and mouflon, that’ll force his leg to fast recover.

Thanks for these splendid 4 days together, it was a great moment, one we remember.

JB,

Thank you for your kind comments, and please give my best regards to your "gals" and pals!

I would definately love to join you as we talked about in the Alps, but must admit that it is still to soon to say if my ankle will be fit enough by this fall. We may have to wait till next year.

But you can be sure that I will train like hell to try and make it ready for such a visit!

Erik

Erik,

Just saw this report - months late - but it is clear that you had a superb time. What a beautiful hunt! I also hope that many of the smaller French gunmakers build their own websites. The rifles in the pictures look like works of art!

Thanks for posting and may you have many more great hunts!
