Source for claw mount rings?
      #77295 - 24/04/07 10:11 AM

I bought a neat, early 1900s German built DR with the top rib set up with claw bases but missing the rings. The rear claw is fairly standard, and the scope/rings from my 1926 Funk fit that just fine. However, the openings in the front claw mount is a bit wider and a tad longer than the 'standard' mount on the Funk which is the same configuration as that on a Sauer I own from approximately the same vintage.

Does anyone know a source of claw mount rings? I have a recolection of someone in the Nevada area, but right now I am drawing a blank. Any help would be appreciated. Dave

The guy in Nevada is Lee LeBas. I don't have his contact information, but there are members here who do have it. He advertises in the Gun List.

By the way, just found the website using the name you supplied. Thought it might be of interest to the group:

Thanks, guys. I was looking for him. I have a 1939 Husqvarna in 9.3 x 62 that needs to have claw rings. Should be a neat gun when I finish. It has a broken stock but I am a wood supplier so that is a good thing not a bad thing for me.
