Mid-2006 there was a report that Safari Press was to release an audiobook of WDM Bell's "Wanderings of an Elephant Hunter".

Release date was due sometime this year, about now I think???

I think there used to be a listing on the SP website but it doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Does anyone have any information on this?

I believe we have people from Safari Press on NitroExpress.com as members.

I know I was eager to get a copy of it on audiobook. I already have a printed copy and may get a first edition next week as well. But if you have not tried a well done audiobook you should.

Listening to "Wanderings of an Elephant Hunter" would be like sitting next to an African campfire on a starry night on safari somewhere in the wilds of an age done by.

And as Dennis Finch-Hatton said, good stories were meant to be told, not written.
