My New Chapuis is here!

Please meet Lucille. My 9.3X74R Chapuis. The scope is a Kahles 1.1X4X24 electro circle dot.

The rifle is named for my late mother. She was a beautiful young lady, and a fire breathing dragon when it came to the defense of her boys!








The rifle was purchased throught Evolution Rifles. Edd and Leanne are the proprietors.

Can you tell us what load and bullet it is regulated for?

I haven't even pulled the triggers yet. Forgot to order snap caps. The rifle is regulated for Norma 9.3X74R 285 ORYX. That is the standard load that Chapuis uses.
I haven't been able to find any "in stock" to order.

Working on handloading some rounds this weekend.

Cabelas has the Norma 285 Oryx in stock. I just ordered two boxes Thursday.

I was informed about Cabelas in Ft. Worth having two boxes. They are on hold for me. My brother will pick them up tomorrow!

Gorgeous Rifle, Rusty! I hope the one I'm getting from Randy is even HALF as nice...I'll be perfectly happy. Can't wait for your report after drilling targets a bit.

Most of my guns get named in the field...on my off days.
