Most common .470 or .475 NE?

Which is most common... .470 NE or .475 NE? I'm looking to get one for which the brass/bullets are most available.

Larry

The 470 by a very wide margin.

I went thru the same with 500NE. Nothing really compares to the 470NE along these lines, to include factory/loaded ammo. As someone coined, it's the 30'06 of big bore double rifles. I chose it.

Joseph Lang chose to release the 470 to the trade rather than keep it as a proprietary cartridge.
It was far and away the most popular chambering in doubles in the over .400 bore size.

my vote is 470 as well (there really is no debate about component availablity). BTW, brass is increasing in price almost exponentially. I'd recommend laying in a supply as soon as you make a decision. I just got a bunch of 470 NE norma brass from grafs at the old bargain price of $3.50 per case. The new price (at midway) is over $5.00 per case.
