Sinner:

I respectfully submit that you are wrong in the comments about the only Pre-War .577 by Rigby.

I quote from my letter from Rigby dated 28 June 1976. "The .577" No. 180xx was made in 1925 for the Maharaja of Keech(?).It appears to have been the last .577" double made by Rigbys. One other was made that year. There were only two made since 1912, but we have not been able to go through the earlier records." (errors are as typed in the Rigby letter!)

Since the serial number of the rifle I had was 4 digits later than the Siegfried owned rifle I have to assume the above made rifle was the last one as per their letter.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to keep it and thought the nmoney was worth more somewhere else. Hind sight is always 20-20
