Can anyone give me any info on C.B. Vaughan double rifles? My wife found one for me in .470 !

From Nigel Brown's London volume:

"Charles Bowman Vaughan, dlr (est. 1782), 39 Strand WC2, 1909-44;
C B Vaughan (GUNS) LTD, 33 Bedford St, WC2 1944-65;
21-26 Bedford St 1966-67."

Apparently a retailer of Brummy guns.

Yes, I did that on purpose. I'm pretty sure there's not another on the internet. I get paranoid when I find something I want so I rarely mention it in public. Nor would I do that to someone else. If it's the the one I've seen then it's very nice and the price seems more than fair. In fact I'm suprised it lasted as long as it did (can't recall exactly when I first saw it, maybe it hasn't been much time at all, I look at so many).

I've certainly admired it and wish I could've acted because I would've bought were it not for budgeting for safari.
