I know personally when buying a double rifle some years back, the seller didn't have any loaded ammunition, and it is always a good idea to put a few rounds through your prospective purchase before buying. I enquired about such a source of ammo and locally it was not available.

Other than perhaps .470 Nitro Express, how often can one find an old 'vintage' NE cartridge on a gun shop shelf. Where would one find loaded ammo on a shelf for a .600 Nitro Express?!
