Doublerifledrilling

I've started to get this very familiar urge for a new gun.. I've got a Drilling, but would very much like it to be a doublerifledrilling.

Does anyone know of internet sites to check out second hand guns? Preferably in Germany or central-Europe.

I'm thinking of getting a traditional DRD, as I can't fancy the new Krieghoffs.. I want 3 independent locks! The calibers I find useful are 20ga or 16ga and 7x57R perhaps 8x57JRS. It's probably possible to get one for a good price in 16ga? I've got 16ga in my present drilling and I nor the game discover any difference..

Anyone at the forum who actually own one? I'd very much appreciate any advice!

I've since gotten rings for the barrels. Currently mounted on the rifle barrels with a 2x Leupold.

I have only shot some trap with it but it appears to be a very useful combo.

It sure is a practical gun!

I thought of asking the gunsmith to make me an insert barrel, but find that it puts a bit of stress on the action, so I think I'll be better off to trade it for a doublerifledrilling. It won't be financial possible for me to get a DRD until summer, but it doesn't harm to start looking....

Have you done a bit of hunting with yours yet? And by the way, what game do you hunt?

I thought of getting a specialized gun for roe-deer stalking, and driven hunts for deer and wildboar.. I just bought a christmasgift for myself: a second hand, mint condition, Zeiss variopoint 1,1-4x24. Reckon this will make a good set-up for driven hunts.

Don't own one - can't afford them but check out http://www.fanzoj.com/indexgb.htm I had some correspondence with Hannes Fanzoj some years ago and know some clients of theirs. Suffice it to say that their clients are extremely satisfied.

I did see another with side clips when I was in Kiev Ukraine a couple of weeks ago. It was 9.3X74R and 16ga also.
