Took a while to get this rifle up and running. Rich Green (FSRMG 1 )was living in Geelong when I was searching for an action,he put me onto Geoff Slee in Victoria who just happened to have the action I was searching for and this is the final result. A sweet handling light rifle wilh heaps of appeal. Thanks Rich. Al
NOTE:-All parts are original K Mauser, barrel and stock from one rifle and the action from another.

I started using 140 gn projectiles, wouldnt stabilize. 120 GN projectiles are very consistant at 2500 FPS One inch group at 100 yards using sandbags so am more than happy. Al

Glad to hear you finally got the Kurz barking. Inch groups at 100 sounds about right for decent Kraut engineering! Should dust mine off again soon, it gets neglected a bit being rebarrelled from .250 Savage (original!) to .308 (Ho hum...)!
Aren't they nice things, though!

Yes Marrakai,it sure is a sweet shooting rifle. I will keep an eye out for a barrel for you for your Kurz , We have a gunsmith ,custom rifle builder down this way who imports and rebuilds a lot of Mausers so the chances of a barrel are good. Al

Thanks Al, standing by....
BTW, I acquired 4 boxes of .250 Savage virgin brass at the 'right price' a few years ago in anticipation but could possibly be swayed by an original 6.5 x 54 Mauser tube! Make a nice companion to the unscoped 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer!

Nice Rifle, I like the Kurz Mausers.
Another 6.5X54K, it’s marked 25 Adolph or Adolph 25 can’t remember now but it has a standard 6.5X54 chamber. Fred Adolph was a custom gunmaker New York state circa 1911-1925.
