A team photo. NitroX with "Speedy", the fastest tortoise tracker in Namibia.

He might be slow but he never misses a drop of blood on the ground anywhere, anytime!

But 'Speedy' wasn't the best at judging tusks, from his perspective they were all HUGE.




(PS The warthog was a cull.)

Karl, the PH, had a cunning plan. We would build a thatched hide in the tree and wait for the game to wander by ...

It was pretty good too, with a couple of storeys, a bar and a jacuzzi. No expense spared! However the thorn branch seats were a pain in the arse.

Can you see Karl peering out from the hide? Guess where he is in the tree?

The bushmen were clever at using porcupine arrows to get us meat when needed.
