Antonio Zoli-sxs-9.3x74r are they any good?

I know of one in 9.3x74r in great condition,10 shots fired.

What are these little rifles like?

Though my main interest is old English bp rifles, i noticed this little double and am wondering....after all,it is in Italy already, and importing is never fun......especially when your restricted by a known calibre list.

Thanks all.

Very crudely (read : industrially) finished. Their price puts them in the entry level.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

Honestly, their homely looks kept me from getting intimate. Steel, toughness, regulation : don't know. Wood is generally plain and the etching (can't call it engraving...) is ugly. Not a very objective opinion perhaps, but buying a double rifle is like getting married and if the fiancée is neither pretty nor rich...

I've had two A Zoli combo guns, and both were well finished, not too bad looking, and shot quite well. They are good guns for the money, and we all can't afford overpriced worn out English guns in obsolete chamberings...

Obsolete chamberings are ok,so long as the same case/round size exists now.....

Its the price bit thats the hammer......np pun intended!

I love the old guns, but dont think much of buying one that im half afriad to fire.....pits,loose actions......never ever forgot seeing a gun stall at a country/agri show, with a shotgun with a hole blown through the barrel......right in the middle.
