What Archery trips planned for 2004?

What trips do you have planned for 2004?

I will take my yearly pilgrimage to Colorado for elk And I will also be hunting the great old whitetail in Pennsylvania, Maryland and maybe Ohio. I need to find some property owners in Ohio that will let me hunt there. They have AWESOME non typical bucks in that state!

Africa is still in my dreams......but I think it is not in for 2004. I have another hunt planned for November up to Canada for winter Caribou.

Hmmm, lets see now.

Leaving out hunting at home I will take a bow and a rifle for any of the following trips:

Pronghorn in Wyoming - should I get drawn
Sitka deer on Kodiak
Where ever I go in Africa

I don't get to rifle hunt at home. I am in a shotgun zone and do not have access to private property in the north of my state where rifle hunting is allowed. Will spring for a modern in-line for next year's deer season, will get some more range with that in my area.

I am making some future plans for my bow, am putting in for Shiras moose points. That's an animal I really want to take with the bow.

I want to try to get some kit together. Do lots of practice and see if I can take a fallow deer for venison later after the rut when the bucks have put on some weight again.

Practice, practice, practice first.

John, that would be great if you got a deer with an arrow. Maybe you'll give those doubles up??

I'm thinking of spoiling some venison with a 480 gr SP as well. And some pork and some goat (what is goat meat called?) and some skippy. Today I was even thinking of underground mutton.

PS Spoke to my brother-in-law at Christmas and he has given some good tips. Will have to chase them up.

I'm going on my annual Jan. exotic/hog hunt in Texas in another week. The bugling bull elk will have me out again in Sept. with maybe a few days thrown in antelope hunting here in Wyoming. Then in Nov. I'll be in Nebraska and maybe Kansas for whitetails. I just put a new bowstring on the Mathews Rival Pro so I'm ready to go!
