Gracoil says they can make all that nasty recoil go away by installing this in the butt of your Double!!
The principle is simple. The system compresses 5/16" and spreads out the recoil impulse over time like a shock absorber so the WHACK (recoil velocity)isn't as violent!!
How exciting! (Propaganda Over!!)
Does it work?
I dunno, I haven't got a clue-- but I would sure like someone to try it on their Double before I mess with mine!!!

Didn't or doesn't Gracoil make shotgun recoil systems for shotguns. If it's the company I'm thinking of they've been around for years. Browning did install a recoil supression system in one of their sporting clay guns several years ago. It only compressed about 1/4" and recoil was zip. I'm recoil sensitive and bought the first one in town. Was like shooting a dream. Only one drawback, it made a loud snapping sound when it compressed that I could never get used to. Shot it about 3 months but my scores actually went down (they weren't great to start with, I'm not much of a wingshot) so I traded it. It did really eliminate the recoil though. I believe Winchester also once tried a system on one of their guns that had a Rear portion of stock that slipped over forward portion. The system was called the Hydrocoil system and the stocks were plastic. They were on Mdl 12 Trap and Skeet models.
