I know its the wrong place to post in but since its an Australian wildcat i thought that it was right.

How is it in use and what is the hunting it was designed for?

I don't know much about the rifle or calibre,however it was a shooting magazine(Australian)project and was built to hunt sambar deer.
Iff I remember corectly the magazine was "Guns and Game."

OK,did a little research today and found the article on the finished project.
The round is based on the 300WSM case and shoots everything from 200-310 gn projectiles,MV from 2438-2920fps.
The rifle was built on a model 70 short action.

The same mob are talking about loading a 375 and a 416 projectile into the same case.

One of the mates has just had one completed ,a .458 Alpine

300 wsm necked to the 45 cal
