Rifle Ranch custom rifle.
      #59427 - 29/06/06 01:26 PM

Hello all, I recently picked up a custom rifle built by the Rifle Ranch located in Prescott Arizona. It was built on a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 action from 1956, it is chambered in .375 Holland & Holland. The rifle was built for a gentlman named Tom Lindahl of the Mule Shoe Ranch, located somewhere near Prescott Arizona.

Has anybody here ever heard of the Rifle Ranch?

From the information I could gather off of the internet, the Rifle Ranch was started by a fellow named Jim Wilkinson.

Jared

Looks like a nice rifle although you should really put a set of express sights on it.

The 'Rifle Ranch' had a solid reputation for building first-class, high-grade custom rifles. I can see from the details of your rifle that this reputation is well-deserved!

Congratulations, beautiful rifle, and very practical........

Thanks guys for all of the compliments, I've been out of town until tonight and have had no access to the internet. I bought the rifle from Bass Pro Shops who picked up 37 out of the over 100 hunting rifles of the Tom Lindahl estate. They have many other "Rifle Ranch" rifles that were built for Tom; I picked up this one because of the Pre-64 Model 70 action and because I have always wanted a .375 Holland & Holland. It has a five-panel checkered bolt knob, and the bolt feels like it is riding on ball bearings, very smooth.

Does anybody know what species of walnut the stock is made from? I'm guessing Enlish walnut.
