Hermann Goering was a noted fighter pilot with 22 kills in the Great War and is best noted for being the head of the Luftwaffe, the German Air Force, in World War II.

That alone makes the rifle a $1 gun........$1 will buy enough Coca Cola to piss on his grave.

Osama, Hitler, Goering.....all have one thing in common......I best stop here, otherwise we are into the Political forum.

Mike

Mike,

Your comments are my thoughts exactly.

I wouldn't pay an extra $0.01 for a rifle owned by one of that infamous group of butchers.

Mehul

Don't take these postings as being against you.

I am sure that most members of this forum are similar to myself in that we greatly appreciate the vast array of rifle pictures you bring to us.

Ditto, Mehul.

Not shooting the messenger!

My point is that I find it somewhat distasteful that people would think a gun is worth more money because it once belonged to a despicable person.

On the other hand, if you are really into prior ownership, I saw Elmer Keith's personal .458 M70 offered on GunsAmerica for $55,000. Ha, ha, ha . . .

Thats a bargain! Personally I would much rather have WDM Bell's 22 HP for $27,500 at Thad Scott.

I wonder what "old Hermann" used a .500 Jeffrey for in East Prussia?

Gentlemen

I wouldn't mind owning this rifle. It would be fantastic to use the Reich thieve rifle for very long big five safari and have the Neo-Nazi's foot the bill

The ultimate revenge

Cheers

There is really no proof that this was Goerings rifle other than the word of the thief who stole it.

This is a good price for a good 500 Jeff.

Can you believe a thief that tells
you that all thieves are liars.

perhaps it was made for a hunt to Africa or to try it on lage elk, he was the Reichjægermeister after all, and he had the right too shoot the largest animal on all the hunting areas, if someone else did withouth asking for permission they had trouble.

i saw in a swedsh magazine a few years ago, itwas a picture of a mauser that was a gift to his brother in law Erich von Rosen , that was a little version of the 9,3x70 rifle. that one was Ludwig Loewe .250 Savage.

$4K to $6K seems way too low for that rifle no matter who owned it. I would expect $7K to $8.5K.

Is a Rembrandt worth any less just because a Nazi owned it during WWII?
